A Sprinkle Of Purple | Makeup Series 4 ♥

I love creating makeup looks on my blog this is now my 4th. I'm more of a bronze / gold / soft brown kind of girl but sometimes I just get the urge to play with makeup! its like a 5 year old playing in their room with their toys instead I am a 23 year old woman playing with my makeup lol

I created this look using the Sleek Makeup SNAPSHOT palette that I recently featured in my Drugstore Haul

I am not 100% sure if working with colour is for me just yet but I am going to continue creating colorful looks especially as the warmer months are upon us!

So for the look I mostly used drugstore products however I have popped a few pricier favourites in.

Products Used

Base
I started off with a clean moisturised face ( not pictured however I used the NIVEA sensitive day cream
Next was on to priming my skin, I decided to go with the MAC Strobe Cream which I have been loving lately it really gives a dewy base for when I go in to add highlight ( GLOW UP ) I applied the strobe cream using my fingers concentrating above my cheek bones, the bridge of my nose and the centre of my forehead.
For foundation I used my new favourite foundation ( like seriously I absolutely love it ) the L'Oreal Infallible foundation in the shade 140 Golden Beige. This foundation glides onto the skin like a dream & blends effortlessly, I applied my foundation using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush.
I have stuck my by concealer of choice for such a long time now and went with the Maybelline Eraser Eye in the lightest shade, I use this to highlight under my eyes, my chin, forehead and under my cheekbones for a more sculpted appearance.

Brows
I recently re-visited this product, when I first discovered my love for all things makeup this was the first brow kit I used, it is the Sleek Brow Kit in the shade extra dark. Naturally I have quite dark almost Black brows and this shade works perfect for me <33 I applied it using a MAC 266 angled brush. I start by using the wax side and run that on the outline of the brow focusing on the tail end, with the powder I push it gently to the front and use a spoolie to blend the product out. For a sharp finish I take my MAC studio finish concealer to sharpen the look of the brow.
Finally I took the L'Oreal Brow Plumper in the shade Dark Brunette to set my eyebrows in place.

Eyes + Cheeks
Now for the fun stuff, the main focus for this makeup look was the eyeshadow palette, as previously mentioned it is the Sleek Makeup Snapshot Palette which is full of bright colours and a few iconic matte shades which are great for transitioning.
I began with using my Maybelline Eraser Eye as an eyeshadow base, this ensured that the colours I used had that extra pop to it.
Moving on to my transition shade ( again not pictured ) I used Saddle by MAC it i s a gorgeous soft brown and I placed that into my crease and blended it outwards with a MAC 217 blending brush.
I then used Purple Haze ( the dark purple shade ) on the outer V and blended outwards creating a winged out effect.
On the lid I used Lotus Flower ( which is the shimmery silvery purple ) I used this on a flat shader brush and spritzed some MAC fix plus to ensure it appears more pigmented and has a metallic effect.
I also used some Primark falsies ( which I really love ) they are super long and wispy but really helped bring my look together.

To contour I used an all time favourite, the Hoola Bronzer by Benefit I used this on my cheek bones ( invisible cheek bones ) along my jaw line and around the perimeters of my forehead.
My highlight ( which I think is absolutely gorgeous ) is another new product the Sleek Makeup Solstice Palette, this has 4 highlighting shades and I used a mixture of Ecliptic ( top left ) this is a cream highlighter I then went over that with the more yellow toned highlighter Subsolar which is very silky and glides on.

Lips
love lip products, Lipsticks are my absolute fave! I have so many and need more.. need? or want? both ha.
I went in and lined my lips with the Sleek Makeup Eau La La Red Sky Night liner, then went over with the gorgeous Cosmo lipstick by MAC.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, I post makeup looks once a month, If you want more please do request them! <3
